Connecticut High School Softball - Torrington bounces Wilby
May 18, 2022: Waterbury, CT 06704 Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Wilby Wildcats (Waterbury, CT), 21-1 in a league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Naugatuck for a Naugatuck Valley League - Iron challenge on Thursday, May 19. Torrington will battle a Greyhounds squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Greyhounds record now stands at 13-5.
With the loss, Wilby falls to 2-17 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Ansonia (Ansonia, CT) to battle the Chargers in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Wednesday, May 18. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 7-12. Ansonia won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against O'Brien RVT (Ansonia, CT)
