Illinois High School Baseball - Zeigler-Royalton loses to Marion
May 19, 2021: Zeigler, IL 62999 The Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes baseball team (Zeigler, IL), was overwhelmed 11-1 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting Marion Wildcats (Marion, IL)
The Wildcats now hold a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cahokia for a South Seven outing on Friday, May 21. Marion will confront a Comanches team coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Comanches record now stands at 0-10.
In their next game, the Tornadoes battle the Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) in a Black Diamond West test, on Thursday, May 20. Zeigler-Royalton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Pioneers come into the test with a 12-5 record after their 10-0 league win over Chester (Chester, IL).
