Michigan High School Softball - Standish-Sterling bounces Carrollton
May 19, 2022: Carrollton, MI 48724 Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Carrollton Cavaliers (Carrollton, MI), 12-0 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Alpena for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 20. Standish-Sterling will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Swan Valley (Saginaw, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Carrollton falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Merrill (Merrill, MI) to battle the Vandals in a Mid-State challenge on Monday, May 23. The Vandals enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Merrill lost 14-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Michigan Lutheran Seminary (Saginaw, MI)
