Virginia High School Softball - L.C. Bird drops to Amelia County
May 19, 2025: Chesterfield, VA 23832 Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad topple the host L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA), 19-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Amelia County improves its record to 6-4 on the year. The Raiders travel to Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA) to face the Chargers in a James River game on Tuesday, May 20. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 14-1. Lunenburg Central won 1-0 in their recent league game against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA)
The Skyhawks now hold a 4-15 record. They play next when they travel to Monacan for a Dominion game on Wednesday, May 21. L.C. Bird will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-12.
