North Carolina High School Soccer - Murphy knocks off Cherokee
May 2, 2022: Cherokee, NC 28719 Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), 3-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs confront the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats (Cashiers, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge, on Thursday, May 5. Murphy will attempt to move on its 6-6 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 7-1 league loss to Highlands (Highlands, NC).
The Braves now possess a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Swain County for a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Thursday, May 5. Cherokee will confront a Maroon Devils team coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Tri-County (Murphy, NC). The Maroon Devils record now stands at 11-2.
