South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Minster Wildcats (Minster, OH), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Starfires now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jay County for a Allen County challenge on Tuesday, May 3. South Adams will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Adams Central (Monroe, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Minster falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Coldwater (Coldwater, OH) to battle the Cavaliers in a Midwest Athletic challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 18-2. Coldwater won 9-4 in their recent league challenge against New Bremen (New Bremen, OH)
