Virginia High School Soccer - Denbigh knocks off Hampton
May 2, 2023: Newport News, VA 23608 Denbigh Patriots (Newport News, VA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA), 7-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Patriots confront the Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 4. Denbigh will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Comets enter the challenge with a 11-0 record after their 8-0 league win over Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA).
The Crabbers now have a 0-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Hampton will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Warwick (Newport News, VA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 0-12.
