California High School Softball - Garfield bounces Mendez
May 2, 2023: Los Angeles, CA 90022 Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mendez Jaguars (Los Angeles, CA), 14-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now own a 17-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Port of Los Angeles for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Garfield will battle a Polar Bears squad coming off a 17-3 league win over King/Drew (Los Angeles, CA). The Polar Bears record now stands at 14-2.
With the loss, Mendez falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Contreras (Los Angeles, CA) to battle the Cobras in a Central challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Cobras enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Contreras lost 29-13 in their recent league challenge against Bernstein (Hollywood, CA)
