The Valley Vikings baseball team (Gilcrest, CO), was overwhelmed 5-1 in Thursday's league outing with the host University Bulldogs (Greeley, CO)

The Bulldogs now hold a 17-3 record. They play next when they host Basalt for a non-league test on Friday, May 3. University will battle a Longhorns squad coming off a 12-6 non-league win over Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO). The Longhorns record now stands at 7-10.

With the defeat, Valley falls to 9-9 on the season. The Vikings host Fort Lupton (Fort Lupton, CO) to battle the Bluedevils in a non-league test on Saturday, May 4. The Bluedevils come into the test with a record of 3-12. Fort Lupton lost 6-3 in their recent league test against Bruce Randolph (Denver, CO)
