New Jersey High School Volleyball - Colonia edged by Summit
May 2, 2024: Summit, NJ 07091 The Summit Hilltoppers held off the visiting Colonia Patriots volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Hilltoppers now have a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scotch Plains-Fanwood for a UCC - Watchung test on Wednesday, May 8. Summit will confront a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ). The Raiders record now stands at 17-1.
With the loss, Colonia moves to 12-6 on the year. The Patriots host St. Joseph (Metuchen, NJ) to battle the Falcons in a GMC - Red contest on Friday, May 3. The Falcons go into the contest with a record of 6-5. St. Joseph lost 2-0 in their recent league contest against South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ)
