Michigan High School Soccer - Catholic Central nudges NorthPointe Christian
May 2, 2024: Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Catholic Central Cougars (Grand Rapids, MI) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting NorthPointe Christian Mustangs (Grand Rapids, MI), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cougars face the Forest Hills Central Rangers (Grand Rapids, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, May 8. Catholic Central will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Rangers enter the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Portage Central (Portage, MI).
The Mustangs now have a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belding for a Ottawa-Kent - Silver challenge on Monday, May 6. NorthPointe Christian will face a Black Knights team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Muskegon (Muskegon, MI). The Black Knights record now stands at 3-4.
