Vermont High School Softball - Bellows Free Academy holds off Middlebury
May 2, 2024: St. Albans, VT 05478 Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets (St. Albans, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Bobwhites/Comets now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Burr & Burton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Bellows Free Academy will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Bellows Falls (Bellows Falls, VT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Middlebury falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT) to battle the Cougars in a Metro challenge on Monday, May 6. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
