The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Madonna Blue Dons (Weirton, WV) and the host Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), saw Madonna's baseball team gain a win over Hoover by a tally of 4-1.

The Blue Dons (18-2) will now prepare for their battle against Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV). The Irish enter the non-league battle with a 14-6 record. In their last battle, Charleston Catholic by Hoover (Clendenin, WV), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Huskies face the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 3. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 7-10 record after their 10-6 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).
