May 2, 2025: Orange, VA 22960 Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) followers exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the host Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA), 6-3 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Albemarle advances its record to 4-5 on the season. The Patriots host Monticello (Charlottesville, VA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 13. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 6-3.
The Fighting Hornets now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Albemarle for a non-league game on Tuesday, May 6. Orange County will play a Warriors team coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-5.
