May 2, 2025: Pierre, SD 57501 Dakota Valley Panthers (North Sioux City, SD) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD), 16-7 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Dakota Valley upgrades its record to 7-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Friday, May 2. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 10-1. Harrisburg won 17-2 in their recent non-league game against Tea (Tea, SD)
The Governors now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Yankton for a Class AA game on Saturday, May 3. Pierre T.F. Riggs will play a Bucks/Gazelles squad coming off a 14-8 league win over Mitchell (Mitchell, SD). The Bucks/Gazelles record now stands at 4-9.
