Mercy Tigers (Middletown, CT) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Southington Blue Knights (Southington, CT), 4-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Mercy improves its record to 14-3 on the year. The Tigers host Shelton (Shelton, CT) to play the Gaels in a non-league game on Friday, May 23. The Gaels enter the game with a record of 15-5. Shelton lost 7-6 in their recent non-league game against North Haven (North Haven, CT)

The Blue Knights now hold a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Plainville for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 21. Southington will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 14-1 league win over Platt (Meriden, CT). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-7.
