In Wednesday's non-league test, the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) softball squad the visiting Poway Titans (Poway, CA), by a tally of 6-3.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, May 22. Steele Canyon will attempt to advance on its 18-11 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 13-11 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Christian (El Cajon, CA).

The Titans (14-16) will now prepare for their test against Christian (El Cajon, CA). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 12-14 record. In their last test, Christian was routed by Otay Ranch (Chula Vista, CA), 6-5, in a non-league test.
