Fredericktown Freddies (Fredericktown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Freddies now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arcanum for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 25. Fredericktown will face a Trojans squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Georgetown (Georgetown, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 25-5.

With the loss, Johnstown-Monroe falls to 17-7 on the campaign.
