May 21, 2024: Watertown, MA 02472 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) and the host Watertown Raiders (Watertown, MA), saw Saugus's softball squad achieve victory over Watertown by a count of 12-2.
The Sachems now sport a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they host Winthrop for a Northeast match on Wednesday, May 22. Saugus will face a Vikings squad coming off a 17-1 league loss to Gloucester (Gloucester, MA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-15.
With the loss, Watertown falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Raiders host Somerville (Somerville, MA) to face the Highlanders in a non-league match on Friday, May 24. The Highlanders enter the match with a record of 5-9.
