The Northwestern Regional Highlanders baseball squad (Winsted, CT), was overwhelmed 6-2 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT)

With the triumph, Cheshire moves its record to 15-7 on the season. The Rams host Xavier (Middletown, CT) to confront the Falcons in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 24. The Falcons come into the contest with a record of 16-5. Xavier won 7-5 in their recent non-league bout against Cromwell (Cromwell, CT)

The Highlanders (7-7) will now prepare for their bout against Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT). The Chiefs enter the Berkshire bout with a 13-7 record. In their last bout, Nonnewaug was overwhelmed by Newtown (Newtown, CT), 5-3, in a non-league bout.
