Virginia High School Soccer - Staunton knocks off Rockbridge County
May 21, 2025: Staunton, VA 24401 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) and the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), saw Staunton's soccer squad triumph over Rockbridge County by a count of 8-0.
The Storm (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA). The Trailblazers enter the non-league battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Spotswood was overwhelmed by Broadway (Broadway, VA), 7-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Wildcats battle the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) in a Valley battle, on Friday, May 23. Rockbridge County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Gobblers enter the battle with a 7-6 record after their 7-0 league win over Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA).
