Virginia High School Soccer - Staunton knocks off Rockbridge County
May 21, 2025: Staunton, VA 24401 The Staunton Storm soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats to 0 in the Storm non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Storm now hold a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wilson Memorial for a Shenandoah bout on Friday, May 23. Staunton will play a Green Hornets squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Staunton (Staunton, VA). The Green Hornets record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, Rockbridge County moves to 1-14 on the year. The Wildcats host Broadway (Broadway, VA) to play the Gobblers in a Valley bout on Friday, May 23. The Gobblers go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Broadway lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA)
