The Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos softball squad (Lafayette, IN), was edged 5-4 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Western Boone Stars (Thorntown, IN)

With the triumph, Western Boone improves its record to 19-5 on the year. The Stars travel to Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN) to face the Bombers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 27. The Bombers enter the contest with a record of 15-8.

The Bronchos now hold a 14-10 record. They play next when they travel to Twin Lakes for a non-league contest on Friday, May 23. Lafayette Jefferson will face a Indians squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Frontier (Chalmers, IN). The Indians record now stands at 11-17.
