The Lake Region Lakers overwhelmed the visiting Wells Warriors softball squad by a count of 15-0 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Lakers meet the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME) in a Class B South challenge, on Wednesday, May 27. Lake Region will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record.

The Warriors (1-11) will now prepare for their challenge against York (York, ME). The Wildcats go into the Class B South challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, York toppled Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME), 16-1, in a non-league challenge.
