Massachusetts High School Softball - Gloucester bounces Swampscott
May 23, 2022: Gloucester, MA 01930 Spectators at Monday's league match between the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) and the visiting Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA), witnessed Gloucester's softball squad prevail over Swampscott by a count of 13-1.
The Fishermen now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to St. Mary's for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 24. Gloucester will face a Spartans squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Bishop Feehan (Attleboro, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 14-3.
With the loss, Swampscott moves to 6-10 on the season. The Big blue host Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA) to face the Tanners in a Northeast match on Wednesday, May 25. The Tanners go into the match with a record of 15-1. Peabody Veterans Memorial won 9-3 in their recent non-league match against Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA)
