May 24, 2025: Davenport, IA 52804 The Lake Zurich Bears baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Assumption Knights to 1 in the Bears non-league win on Saturday.
The Bears now own a 23-10 record. They take the field next when they host Prospect for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 27. Lake Zurich will clash with a Knights team coming off a 14-10 non-league loss to York (Elmhurst, IL). The Knights record now stands at 21-11.
With the defeat, Assumption drops to 0-3 on the year. The Knights host Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA) to clash with the Bloodhounds in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 27. The Bloodhounds go into the test with a record of 0-2. Fort Madison lost 12-2 in their recent non-league test against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA)
