Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sherman Tide (Seth, WV), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hurricane for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 27. Nitro will battle a Redskins squad coming off a 7-5 league win over Riverside (Belle, WV). The Redskins record now stands at 4-11.

With the loss, Sherman falls to 11-4 on the campaign.
