Massachusetts High School Softball - Somerville bounces Winthrop
May 25, 2022: Somerville, MA 02143 Somerville Highlanders (Somerville, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), 14-10 in a non-league challenge.
The Highlanders now own a 6-12 record. They take the field next when they host Everett for a Greater Boston challenge on Thursday, May 26. Somerville will face a Crimson Tide squad coming off a 8-2 league win over Lynn Classical (Lynn, MA). The Crimson Tide record now stands at 15-4.
With the loss, Winthrop falls to 2-17 on the campaign. The Vikings host Chelsea (Chelsea, MA) to face the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 26. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 2-14. Chelsea won 18-4 in their recent non-league challenge against New Mission (Boston, MA)
