Iowa High School Softball - Don Bosco bounces St. Ansgar
May 25, 2024: St. Ansgar, IA 50472 Don Bosco Dons (Gilbertville, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Dons now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riceville for a Iowa Star - North challenge on Tuesday, May 28. Don Bosco will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-7 league win over Dunkerton (Dunkerton, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, St. Ansgar falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Saints travel to AGWSR (Ackley, IA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 25. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. AGWSR lost 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (La Porte City, IA)
