High Point Wildcats (Sussex, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host River Dell Golden Hawks (Oradell, NJ), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Indian Hills for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 31. High Point will face a Braves squad coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Pompton Lakes (Pompton Lakes, NJ). The Braves record now stands at 21-8.

With the loss, River Dell falls to 8-8 on the campaign.
