Maine High School Softball - Lewiston bounces Mt. Ararat
May 27, 2022: Topsham, ME 04086 Lewiston Blue Devils (Lewiston, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME), 8-4 in a league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Camden Hills for a Class A North challenge on Saturday, May 28. Lewiston will battle a Windjammers squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Messalonskee (Oakland, ME). The Windjammers record now stands at 5-10.
With the loss, Mt. Ararat falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Brunswick (Brunswick, ME) to battle the Dragons in a Class A North challenge on Tuesday, May 31. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 11-1. Brunswick won 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME)
