The Eagles now sport a 25-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbia for a non-league outing on Friday, May 30. Newton will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Robinson (Robinson, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 24-5.
With the loss, Gillespie moves to 21-8 on the season.
