The Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host South Amboy Governors to 2 in the Garnet Gulls non-league win on Thursday.

The Garnet Gulls now hold a 20-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Delaware Valley for a non-league test on Tuesday, June 3. Point Pleasant Beach will play a Terriers team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Metuchen (Metuchen, NJ). The Terriers record now stands at 11-10.

With the defeat, South Amboy drops to 7-13 on the year.
