The Poquoson Islanders softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Arcadia Firebirds to 1 in the Islanders non-league win on Thursday.

The Islanders now possess a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lunenburg Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, June 3. Poquoson will confront a Chargers team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Windsor (Windsor, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 16-1.

With the loss, Arcadia moves to 13-8 on the season.
