Illinois High School Soccer - Normal Community nudges Washington
May 3, 2021: Normal, IL 61761 Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Washington Panthers (Washington, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Ironmen confront the Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Tuesday, May 4. Normal Community will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Maroons enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Mattoon (Mattoon, IL).
The Panthers now possess a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Dunlap for a Mid-Illini challenge on Friday, May 7. Washington will confront a Eagles team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Notre Dame (Burlington, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
