The Desert Vista Thunder nipped the visiting Mountain View Toros softball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Thunder (12-5) will now prepare for their battle against Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ). The Firebirds go into the non-league battle with a 12-6 record. In their last battle, Chaparral held off Perry (Gilbert, AZ), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Toros now possess a 13-4 record. They play next when they host Queen Creek for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 4. Mountain View will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Basha (Chandler, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-2.
