May 3, 2022: Newport, RI 02840 Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad gain a win over the visiting Tiverton Tigers (Tiverton, RI), 10-7 in a non-league battle.
The Vikings now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Providence Country Day for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 5. Rogers will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Knights record now stands at 4-2.
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) in a Division 4 battle, on Thursday, May 5. Tiverton will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Townies come into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 16-1 league loss to North Smithfield (North Smithfield, RI).
