In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, Union County moves its record to 20-10 on the year. The Patriots travel to Halls (Knoxville, TN) to play the Red Devils in a non-league contest on Wednesday, May 4. The Red Devils come into the contest with a record of 22-8. Halls lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Gibbs (Corryton, TN)

In their next game, the Mavericks play the Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN) in a 3A District 4 contest, on Thursday, May 5. Anderson County will attempt to move on its 12-13 season record.
