New Jersey High School Volleyball - Liberty tips Christian Brothers Academy
May 3, 2023: Jackson, NJ 08527 Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Christian Brothers Academy Colts (Lincroft, NJ), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Lions battle the Pinelands Regional Wildcats (Tuckerton, NJ) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 4. Liberty will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record.
With the loss, Christian Brothers Academy drops to 5-6 on the campaign. The Colts host Freehold Boro (Freehold, NJ) to battle the Colonials in a match on Thursday, May 4. The Colonials come into the match with a record of 1-0. Freehold Boro won 2-0 in their recent league match against Christian Brothers Academy (Lincroft, NJ)
Match Summary
The Christian Brothers took another loss yesterday to the Lions of Jackson Liberty. CBA started out well, getting blocks and putting the ball away early. However in the 2nd and 3rd sets, they got off to a slow start and couldn't get themselves back to striking distance. CBA looks to rebound and get back to .500 vs. Freehold who beat the Colts in straight sets early in the season.
