May 3, 2024: Virginia Beach, VA 23464 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Salem Sundevils (Virginia Beach, VA) and the visiting Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA), saw Salem's softball squad achieve victory over Oscar Smith by a count of 20-3.
The Sundevils now sport a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cox for a Beach match on Tuesday, May 7. Salem will face a Falcons squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Oscar Smith falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Bruins in a Southeastern match on Tuesday, May 7. The Bruins enter the match with a record of 9-5.
