May 3, 2025: Algonquin, IL 60102 The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) and the visiting Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL), saw Jacobs's baseball team get by Lake Zurich by a tally of 2-1.
The Golden Eagles (9-13) will now prepare for their battle against Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL). The Tigers enter the Fox Valley - Valley battle with a 9-14 record. In their last battle, Crystal Lake Central was tipped by Deerfield (Deerfield, IL), 6-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Bears face the Mundelein Mustangs (Mundelein, IL) in a North Suburban battle, on Monday, May 5. Lake Zurich will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 15-5 record after their 10-6 non-league win over Carmel (Mundelein, IL).
