The Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) baseball trounced the host Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL), 9-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 10-14 record. They take the field next when they host Naperville Central for a DuPage Valley challenge on Monday, May 5. Metea Valley will clash with a Redhawks team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL). The Redhawks record now stands at 13-10.

With the defeat, Taft drops to 14-13 on the year. The Eagles travel to Amundsen (Chicago, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a Chicago Public - Jackie Robinson North challenge on Monday, May 5. The Vikings go into the challenge with a record of 5-18. Amundsen won 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Von Steuben (Chicago, IL)
