Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL) and the visiting Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL), observed Rolling Meadows's volleyball team hold off Leyden by a count of 2-1.

The Mustangs (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL). The Grenadiers enter the Mid Suburban contest with a 5-24 record. In their last contest, Elk Grove was tipped by Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Eagles battle the Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs (Cicero, IL) in a West Suburban contest, on Tuesday, May 6. Leyden will attempt to move on its 11-12 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 15-5 record after their 2-1 league win over Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL).
