The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) and the visiting Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI), observed Ponaganset's softball team get by Portsmouth by a tally of 6-5.

The Chieftains (4-8) will now prepare for their bout against Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Falcons go into the Division 1 bout with a 7-5 record. In their last bout, Cranston West tipped Moses Brown (Providence, RI), 15-0, in a league bout.
