Iowa High School Baseball - Marshalltown loses to Grundy Center
May 30, 2025: Marshalltown, IA 50158 Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA), 17-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Grundy Center advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Spartans host South Hardin (Eldora, IA) to battle the Tigers in a North Iowa Cedar - West match on Tuesday, June 3. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 1-3. South Hardin lost 10-1 in their recent non-league match against Roland-Story (Story City, IA)
The Bobcats now have a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ames for a Alliance Conference - North match on Monday, June 2. Marshalltown will battle a Little Cyclones squad coming off a 16-6 league win over Mason City (Mason City, IA). The Little Cyclones record now stands at 3-7.
