Iowa High School Softball - Winterset drops to Van Meter
May 30, 2026: Van Meter, IA 50261 Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA), 13-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Van Meter improves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Bulldogs host Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA) to play the Trojans in a West Central game on Monday, June 1. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 3-2. Pleasantville won 2-0 in their recent non-league game against West Marshall (State Center, IA)
The Huskies now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Dallas Center-Grimes for a non-league game on Thursday, June 4.
