May 4, 2022: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 The James River Midlothian Rapids crushed the host Atlee Raiders baseball team by a count of 14-2 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Rapids now possess a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Huguenot for a Dominion bout on Thursday, May 5. James River Midlothian will face a Falcons team coming off a 20-0 league loss to Powhatan (Powhatan, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 6-6.
Next, the Raiders face the Patrick Henry Patriots (Ashland, VA) in a Capital bout, on Thursday, May 5. Atlee will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 6-7 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Hermitage (Richmond, VA).
