The Somers Spartans routed the visiting Canton Warriors softball squad by a final score of 5-0 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Spartans (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Coventry (Coventry, CT). The Patriots go into the North Central Connecticut battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Coventry nudged East Granby (East Granby, CT), 15-4, in a league battle.
The Warriors now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy for a North Central Connecticut battle on Friday, May 6. Canton will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 24-0 league loss to Granby Memorial (Granby, CT). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-9.
