Eastern Greene Thunderbirds (Bloomfield, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting White River Valley Wolverines (Switz City, IN), 12-4 in a league challenge.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Linton-Stockton for a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Thursday, May 5. Eastern Greene will face a Miners squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN). The Miners record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, White River Valley falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Greencastle (Greencastle, IN) to face the Tiger Cubs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Tiger Cubs enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Greencastle won 8-6 in their recent league challenge against Indian Creek (Trafalgar, IN)
