Kansas High School Soccer - Sumner Academy knocks off Highland Park
May 4, 2023: Kansas City, KS 66101 Sumner Academy Sabres (Kansas City, KS) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Highland Park Scots (Topeka, KS), 10-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Sabres face the Schlagle Stallions (Kansas City, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 9. Sumner Academy will attempt to better on its 11-2 season record. The Stallions enter the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Blue Valley Southwest (Overland Park, KS).
The Scots now have a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harmon for a KCAL challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Highland Park will face a Hawks squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Schlagle (Kansas City, KS). The Hawks record now stands at 2-8.
